A Good Father

I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:18

Today, before giving honor to my earthly father and all the wonderful fathers that I have known in my life, I want to give thanks and praise to my Heavenly Father.

I was created out of my Father’s heart.  He was with me in my mother’s womb and has watched over me all the days of my life.  He has been so good to me.  Though my life has not always been perfect or easy, My Father has never left me. He carried me through it all. He has taken the hard times where the enemy tried to hurt me, and turned them around for my good.

Not only did He create me once, but then He re-created me.  He made me new again washing away all my past mistakes when He drew my heart to Jesus. Through Jesus dying for me on the cross, God became my Eternal Father.  I was welcomed into the Kingdom of God forever! All I had to do was accept… and I did.

I am in no way a perfect person now, but when my Father looks at me He does not see my sin, He sees where the blood of Jesus washed me clean. (Thank you Jesus!!)  And, I can’t say my life is easy now, but through Jesus, I am given strength to overcome.  I know that I am not His only child, yet He makes me feel that special!

God is a good Father and I cling to Him every second of my life.  I never forget that He is “Almighty God, Creator of the Universe,” but He is also my “Daddy” who loves me.

Receive into your heart the Word of God:

2 Corinthians 5:21   For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Philippians 4:13  For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
