There is a scripture, John 6:44, where Jesus says, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him.”
One special day God “drew me” and I was introduced to His Son, Jesus. I fell in love with the one who died for me and now He is my constant friend, my Savior, and so much more.
I usually write for an audience of believers like myself, writing what I hear God speak into my heart, but today He said, “Write to my lost child.”
I ask Him what He wanted to say to this child and this is what I heard:
To My lost child,
You may have forgotten me, but I will never forget you. I knew you in your mother’s womb and have never left you. I have never ceased to love you. I have never stopped watching over you. I see you now. I see into your heart.
There is nothing in this whole wide world that can satisfy your longing heart. You look here and run there, trying to fill the void, but nothing fits. There is only one thing that can quench the thirst inside of you.
I have a Son and I want you to meet Him. His name is Jesus. I want you to ask Him to come into your life. I want you to take all of your dreams, all of your longings, all of your hurts, pains, mistakes and sins and lay them at His feet. Then ask Him to pick them up and make something beautiful out of your life. If you will give Him your temporary, not so great life, He will give you eternal life in Heaven and a purpose-filled life here on earth.
If you will do this, a new life will begin for you. Your old way of thinking will pass away and all things will become new. The empty void that was inside of you will be filled with Jesus Himself and hope will unfold inside of you like a blossoming rose. Through Him, your eyes will be opened to seeing into My heart. You will begin to learn how great my love is for you.
So much awaits you, my child. If you will trust in my love and follow where I lead, you will not be disappointed.
