A Better Choice

My Beloved,

I hear you as you pray and it is good that you come to me, but you are missing something.  Whenever you pray, no matter how deep the sorrow, always pray with a thankful heart.

Step out of your anxiety and into my love.  Let the Holy Spirit remind you of past blessings and answered prayers.  This will expand your faith to move mountains. If you fill your mind with things you are thankful for, your past victories, there won’t be room for worry.  Worry destroys faith.  Worry overtakes your peace.  As you wallow in worry you can’t move forward.  It is like you are sinking in quicksand.  This is not what I want for you, my child.

Look up and be thankful for what I am about to do in answer to your prayer.  Thankful thoughts lift you out of the mire and up to where faith can take hold of your heart.  As faith envelopes you, peace rushes in and calmness replaces the strife.  In this state of thankfulness and trust, you have life abundant, knowing that every need you’ll ever have is already met.  It is the peace that passes understanding.  It is abiding in me, not in your problem.  A better choice.

Meditate and receive into your heart:

John 10:10 (ESV)  Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.  I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

John 15:7 (NLT)  If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)   Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.  His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

  1. Thanks Marcy. I really needed this today. A person very dear to me mentioned this morning that his problem is that he worries about everything. Maybe i can influence him some with some of these words.
